I Love You

I Love You

At some point in my life I realized that there are people in this world that almost never hear the phrase "I love you" on a daily basis. Some people never hear the phrase "I love you" at all. Thats really sad to me.

Love is the most endearing word in the dictionary. To love someone is to express to them that you care for them in ways that are unimaginable and unexplainable.

I love my family.

I love my friends.

I don't say it enough because that's not how I was raised and I'm writing this because I realized, today, that I don't hear the phrase enough either. I'm a part of the cycle. I don't say it enough and I don't hear it enough.

Then I began to wonder what it would be like to hear someone say "I love you" everyday? I know it seems like a simple task but it really isn't. When you tell someone that you love them and you really mean it when you say it, you are letting them know that no matter what happens you care about them. That's heavy right? At least it is for me. Love is a heavy subject.

Do I know that I'm loved by at least one person in this world? Yes.

There are people that don't know if they are loved at all.

Do people tell me that they love me? Yes.

Sometimes I'm unsure if they mean it when they say it.

Do I want to be told that I'm loved. Yes.

I want to hear it every single day because I've never experienced what that feels like.

The dictionary says that love is an intense feeling of deep affection.

Then.....

.....there's the Bible:

1 Corinthians 13:4-5: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

1 Corinthians 13:2: “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing."

1 Peter 4:8: “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."

1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Super deep.....

I'm trying to love others like what is described in the Bible.

I want people that are near and dear to me to know that I love them and that I mean it.

I also want them to love me back and mean it.

To be continued (maybe lol)....

I just don't like to write about myself often.

Also, I love pizza; if you figure out a way to make me a delicious vegan pizza from scratch....we go together. LMAO. I'm joking......
