See and Be Seen, Part II- Treat Yourself How You Want To Be Treated
In the part one of this series, I explained how it's of growing importance for me to feel the people in my circle of trust can see me. What I mean by this consists of, but isn't limited to:
-Understands or seeks to understand me and my point of view, especially when we disagree
-Shows me kindness
-Genuinely appreciates the things about me that some would call "quirks"
-Recognizes and roots for my greatness
When I started thinking of this topic, self-treatment wasn't even at the forefront. But I slowly started to see that since I'm technically the original member of my own tribe, treating myself how I want to be treated and seeing myself how I want to be seen is the most important part of this process...and will probably be the hardest.
So, to start me off on this journey, I enlisted the help of one of our Sage Society members, Alex Elle via her meditation journal A Note to Self.
The journal poses questions for self-understanding and promotes personal wellness, self-regard, presence, planning and alladat. You can also use it to intentionally journal in synchronicity with the moon phases. Stellar!
